Lunch Bunch

This quarter I decided to have lunch with a different group of people each day. The first day I had lunch with Igwe, Jarett, Avik, Gage, Joey, and Adam. When I sat with them at first it was kind of awkward and they wouldn’t really talk to me. They looked at me like I was in the wrong place and kind of ignored me. They were talking mostly about sports and who annoys them and shit. They whispered about girls and didn’t really acknowledge me until there was like 10 minutes left. It changed my opinion of them because they were very open to being nice to me. The next day I ate lunch with Ilana, Molly, Kayla, Abby, Jackie. They were really nice to me. At first they looked at me funny for sitting with them when my friends were at the table next to them but after like 5 minutes they joined me in the conversation and talked about life and shit. They talked mostly about sex and boys and drinking. They invited me to smoke out of an apple with them because I never have. I am going to college with Ilana so I think it was a good idea to become closer with her before we leave. She is the type of person i would love to go to college with because she is so cool and chill and i know she wont be clingy. She will help me if im home sick and be an awesome person to have there. The next day i had lunch with steph p, alex r, and tom l. They sat at the other side of the table and pretended I wasn’t there. They looked at me wired than the people from the first day. I overheard them talking about music and college. They were all applying to Ivy League schools and comparing their SAT scores. I felt uncomfortable so I left after like 30 minutes. It was a good soc project, even if they didn’t talk to me so much. I feel more comfortable being able to go over to a random group of people during lunch and eating with them. I think it will help me for next year when I go to college. I tried sitting with all of the tables again and got the same results pretty much. When i sat with  the group of boys again they didn't look at me like i was weird for being there this time but they just talked about the same thing, sports. When i sat with the 1st group of girls they treated me just as friendly as they did the first time. This time they included me in some of the conversations about boys, even though i didn't really have much to say because i don't really have much experience with too many. And when i sat with the 2nd group of girls for the second time they completely ignored me again. It was pretty awkward, again.
