final

This quarter i did a lot of team bonding. We went to get ice cream as a team and went to trulys. We all had a really hard practice and did a lot of running and figured it would be good idea if we all got a little froyo. There are 18 girls on the team so it was hard to figure out the rides. Me and grace are the only seniors and there are a few juniors so we figured it out that way. I drove like
5 girls in my car and 3 juniors drove the rest. It was a funny trip because trulys isnt that big and they can barely fit like 10 people in the store. We all got ice cream and had team bonding for two hours talking about prom and sex. It was actually really interesting some girls on the team have been having sex for like a year and have never had an orgasm. Some of the girls on the team are really prude and havent even kissed a guy. Im the captain of the team so its
important that i dont make any of them feel uncomfortable. I want to make sure the quite ones have a chance to feel comfortable and open up to the team before i leave. The next hour i did was i sat next to julia braginsky who i usually dont sit next to on the bus to ab. She is hilarious. She is dating a kid who goes to roxbury latin who goes to my country club so i have known him for a long
time. They have been dating for a long time and he is a senior so hes going to stanford next year. She told me all about her sex life and it was really funny. She is a bizzare girl. She made up a song for when they have sex. I love that girl. For my last two hours i went out to breakfast with my team. Some of them were hungover and some were kinda awkward. We all sat there talking about what we did the night before and talked about who had a crush on who. We ordered our food. We talked about all the gossip that the underclassmen were dealing with and it was hilarious. Of course all the girls talked about their prom dresses and how there are only like 5 dresses in the whole world and how all of them got asked to prom. Some of the girls on the team were going to prom with people that other girls wanted to go with. The sophomores were talking about how the seniors are really nice this year and we are one of the nicest classes to go through the school. Some of the sophomores got into little bickers with the juniors about how they think that the juniors are going to be a really boring senior class. I personally don’t really think anyone can be a bad class anymore because of all these rules the school has made.

Free Hugs

This quarter i went to do free hugs in boston. I went by myself this time and it was a very different feel. I went to a bunch of different places. First i went to my uncles apartment at the belvedere and i barely got any he lives in the prudential and i stood outside coldstone and no one really acknowledged me. I held a sign and people just looked at me funny. I spent probably an hour there and only got about 30 hugs. The peole who hugged me were all going into coldstone which probably had something to do with it. I think people who were going to get ice cream were more likely to give me a hug. After that i went outside pinkberry to see how people would react there. People who work at pinkberry are weirdly happy all the time. They kinda seem like robots. So i went to pinkberry and people gave me more hugs i probabaly stayed there for about an hour and a half. I got around 100 hugs. People were much more likely to give me hugs outside pinkberry than coldstone. I was a little more psyched. The people who gave me hugs were mostly girls. I feel like more girls go to pinkberry than guys. The only guys who gave me hugs were ones who were with their boyfriends. After doing 2 and a half hours of hugs i went to newbury street. I stood outside jp licks and and an old homeless man came over to me. I was really scared. I gave him a hug and he asked me what i was doing it for. I told him about our soc class and he thought it was great. He kept asking me all these questions and i was trying to figure out a way to avoid him. I eventually got away and moved to a different part of newbury. I went outside the hempest and that was hilarious i got a hug from pretty much everyone that was walking inside. They all looked like pot heads and smelled like weed. They all asked me why i was giving free hugs and i told them why. They thought it was a great idea and said they were going to do it too. I thought it was a good place but i only had one more hour left so i went to sugar daddies. Not as many people walked by because its not in as much as a prime position. I did get a hug from everyone who walked by. When I was coming back from boston I took the train home. I decided to do free hugs on the train to see how that would go. I got a lot of weird looks but some hugs. Some people looked at me like I was insane. There were also a lot of scary looking people on the train so I decided it probably wasn’t the best idea.

Lunch Bunch

This quarter I decided to have lunch with a different group of people each day. The first day I had lunch with Igwe, Jarett, Avik, Gage, Joey, and Adam. When I sat with them at first it was kind of awkward and they wouldn’t really talk to me. They looked at me like I was in the wrong place and kind of ignored me. They were talking mostly about sports and who annoys them and shit. They whispered about girls and didn’t really acknowledge me until there was like 10 minutes left. It changed my opinion of them because they were very open to being nice to me. The next day I ate lunch with Ilana, Molly, Kayla, Abby, Jackie. They were really nice to me. At first they looked at me funny for sitting with them when my friends were at the table next to them but after like 5 minutes they joined me in the conversation and talked about life and shit. They talked mostly about sex and boys and drinking. They invited me to smoke out of an apple with them because I never have. I am going to college with Ilana so I think it was a good idea to become closer with her before we leave. She is the type of person i would love to go to college with because she is so cool and chill and i know she wont be clingy. She will help me if im home sick and be an awesome person to have there. The next day i had lunch with steph p, alex r, and tom l. They sat at the other side of the table and pretended I wasn’t there. They looked at me wired than the people from the first day. I overheard them talking about music and college. They were all applying to Ivy League schools and comparing their SAT scores. I felt uncomfortable so I left after like 30 minutes. It was a good soc project, even if they didn’t talk to me so much. I feel more comfortable being able to go over to a random group of people during lunch and eating with them. I think it will help me for next year when I go to college. I tried sitting with all of the tables again and got the same results pretty much. When i sat with  the group of boys again they didn't look at me like i was weird for being there this time but they just talked about the same thing, sports. When i sat with the 1st group of girls they treated me just as friendly as they did the first time. This time they included me in some of the conversations about boys, even though i didn't really have much to say because i don't really have much experience with too many. And when i sat with the 2nd group of girls for the second time they completely ignored me again. It was pretty awkward, again.
